It was a cold and rainy night in september 2020.... JK I'm not going to start this off like that 🤭 BUT I would like to tell you guys the story of where my nail shop began and the journey I had so far because it wasn't a smooth nor easy ride AT ALL.

So this story does begin in September 2020. I believe this was the start of our pandemic but I had started to do my own nails because I was entering my ✨that girl✨ era but I had serious social anxiety so I never felt comfortable going to get my nails done. I had bought a few simple supplies because I was somewhat a simple girl. I'm also a perfectionist so when I attempted to make my first nail set I stayed up ALL night just doing one set for myself because I didn't want to settle for anything less than what I considered perfection. I know that sounds a bit spoiled but a girl knows what she wants and deserves 🤭

I posted my new nail set on my social media to show my friends my masterpiece and to my surprise they all loved it and I started to get multiple messages asking if I sell them. Like I mentioned in my "about me" story I am a business babe and always love business so ofcourse I did a little research to see how other press on nail business work. I decided I could totally give it a shot even if it is just temporary. I quickly opened up an Etsy shop and listed my design and went from there.

I didn't really know what I was doing BUT I was having a ton of fun making nails for my friends. I then wondered what else Etsy has to offer and saw that other press on nail shops were making HUNDREDS of orders soooo I bought an Etsy help book for my kindle and put what I learned to use immediately. Right after that the algorithm loved me. My nail shop went viral! I started getting hundreds of orders a month and honestly I could hardly keep up 🤭

I was a single mom at the time and just got out of a horrible relationship and this nail business was keeping me busy, making me hopeful and happy, and for the first time ever, I was paying my bills all on my own and even more.
(here's where it takes a turn though)

Let's make this sad part a little short 😊 I met a man, fell in love, things got serious, I got pregnant, and moved half way across Texas to be with him.
(that wasn't the sad part)
My pregnancy ended up being a high risk pregnancy and I was not okay ever. I spent (not even exxagerating) about 96% of my pregnancy in a hospital bed. When I was home I was doing my best to seem normal for my other babies. This also meant I couldn't keep up with my business at all. I was super sad to do it but I closed my shop. I was so sad and dissapointed (maybe it was the pregnancy hormones) but I deleted everything because I was soooo sure I wouldn't be able to ever give it another try. 🥺

I tried to put it all behind me. I focused on my babies and taking care of them all and just adjusting to my new life in a new city. But no matter what... I kept missing my nail business. Making gorgeous nails for people, getting to see all the different states my customers were supporting me from, the excitement for my launches from my followers.... I missed it all so much and kept trying to ignore it.

Until December 2023. I gave in. I was writing in my diary about how much I miss my nail business and started to cry ugly tears. I own multiple other businesses and plan on launching more but my nail business just has a special hold of my heart that I couldn't ignore anymore. So I gathered as much extra money as I could and started to get new BETTER nail supplies. If I was going to launch this business again I was going to do it RIGHT and give it my ALL.

And now here we are! I am BACK! It feels soooo good. I decided to start over. New business name, new branding, new mission (providing high quality luxurious nails), new EVERYTHING 🤍 And I am going to give this my all. TheBusinessBabeNails has made a huge impact in my life and I hope I can share a bit of that feeling with every order I send out. I truly do give every order my all and put so much positive energy into every order even if it is just a nail sizing kit. It all means the world to me and I can't wait to hear the excitment from you guys again. 🤍
